Character Design: Soviet Soldier.

As my shoulder is now hurts as hell. I am going to stop drawing my poor character and come here to write some nonsense.

PPSH-41!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and beer.

Here she is, the one and only scout soldier with a PPSH-41. A great submachine gun that was produced and widely used during the WW2 by Soviet Army. It is at the time one of the easiest guns to manufacture and it can shoot over 900 bullets in one minute. Because of this, no one could stand before its fire range.

The character herself doesn`t change much from my draft. I `m going to put the draft here so it`s easier to compare.

I changed Kar98k to PPSH-41 as I realized that 98k is a German gun and is not suitable for a Soviet Soldier to possess. I made the color ratio much much darker to create the sense of coldness. the snowflakes are for the same purpose. Her coat looks more stiff now as tsnow melted into water and soaks the coat. before it can dry the water inside freeze into ice and make the whole coat stiff and rough. Now the expression looks more pathetic. I minimized the reflection on the boots as old boots cannot reflect that much of light. There is more objects on her belts including an extra ammo drum and a TT-33 handgun. I spent a long time doing research and finding examples of the gun. This is my first time drawing a proper gun and I am satisfy of my outcome. For the first time, and only for now.

Now I feel maybe I did too much work on the color palette. Now she looks like she`s going to freeze to death.

I drew beer becasue Vodka looks like water.

For the sideview I replaced the heavy coat and weapons to give a view of what she would behave when she feels safe and comfy. I put some warm light on the boots and trousers to show it`s indoors scene. There is some scars on her arms as the symbol of battle. Her necklace is a small bag contained some seeds from her hometown. She kept in that way to remind herself the reason of this war. Her expression looks way more relax. maybe it`s because the beer in her hand.

Maybe when my shoulder feels better I will come back and do some expression sheet. Can anyone please tell me how to keep drawing without painful body parts?

And I`m back, with my trash emotional sheet with me. I just found out it`s called emotional sheet. I have been calling it expression sheet for 18 years! Think of that…

Now you got my character.

The next row would be her profile when she was still a young girl without killing experiences and the one who survived after the war with those medals and a heart full of horrible memories.

I must made lots of grammar mistakes and tense errors up there as I wrote and drew those after a nap and now I am watching deadpool 2. Sorry about that.

Anyway, I may finish this horrible war story when I got time in Christmas.
